Application

      It is used in the formulation of premium engine oils with the combination of sulphonate detergent and ashless dispersant, and in anti-wear hydraulic oils when combining with other additive packages.

Zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate additive can be used to control wear and suppress oxidation in almost all engine oils and many other types of lubricants. They mainly limit wear by forming a thick, protective phosphate glass based friction film on the friction surface. This membrane formation can occur at low temperatures and is relatively independent of the chemical properties of the substrate.
